These are collections of images visualising the individual, deeply and subjectively lived personal, spiritual or intellectual experiences of the project authors. They often concern painful family memories, bonds between friends or the pathogenetic traumas of one's own body. On the other hand, they are observations of social change, penetrating and shifting boundaries of human consciousness and expanding or shrinking tolerance in the context of human well-being and sustainable development. In another area of creative research there is a reflection linking age-old myths with the alchemy of photography and the duality of the world. Artists gathered in the jointly established association Forum of Photography and Multimedia, the main organiser of the International Festival of Photography BIALYSTOK INTERPHOTO, present recipients with an alternative view of the world. Their works carefully analyse reality, provoke reflection and allow us to discover new, unexplored perspectives. "Alternative Collections" is a journey where life, art and visual media meet in the harmony of counterpoint, and each image hides countless stories behind it, a visual story about our common heritage and social condition.
