Polish Exhibition of Art Photography for Children and Youth is one of the most renowned events dedicated to the works of young artists in Poland. It is a biannual event organized by a Youth Centre in Bialystok. The competition is aimed at young people, including children. The first category of competitors are children aged up to 15 years, and the second category group - up to 21 years of age. Participation is free of charge and they are free to choose the topic of their work. The first edition took place in 1985 and for decades it has registered the sensitivity of the young generation confronted with social and political changes in their country. The 20th anniversary edition featured 2083 photos of 524 authors, from 173 different institutions. The jury consisting of Grzegorz Jarmocewicz, Michał Heller, Adam Tuchliński, qualified 141 works by 106 young photographers. Their works were exhibited in a large format on the fencing of the Branicki’s Palace until the end of August 2021.
The competition is a public task co-financed by Podlaskie Voivodeship.
