THE STATUTE OF THE STREET PHOTO COMPETITION INTERPHOTO 2024 – REFERRED TO AS “THE STATUTE”

I. General Rules

1. The Street Photo Competition – INTERPHOTO 2024, referred to as “The Competition,” is organized by FORUM FOTOGRAFII I MULTIMEDIÓW (KRS: 0000395724, NIP: 9662077880, REGON: 200629370) from Bialystok, Warszawska Street No. 6/34 – the main organizer of The International Photo Festival Bialystok INTERPHOTO 2024. It aims to choose the best works of The Street Photo Competition and present them in the open space of Bialystok city.

2. The Statute states the rules of the organization and process of The Competition.

3. The duration of The Competition is from 22nd July to 6th September 2024, and it will conclude with the exhibition of chosen works during this year’s edition of INTERPHOTO.

4. The Jury: The organizer appoints the commission (“Jury”) who will assess the submitted works and choose the laureates of The Competition. The decisions of the commission are final and non-appealable.

5. Prizes: The prize of The Competition is the presentation of works at the exhibition Interphoto 2024. The jury can award more than one photo among the maximum of five submitted by one competitor. The organizer covers the costs of printing and presenting the photo and organizing the exhibition and its opening.

6. Process of The Competition: Only adults (those who are 18 years old and above) or people who have written permission from parents or guardians may take part in The Competition. Works for The Competition submitted from 22nd July to 6th September 2024 are accepted. A participant may submit a maximum of five works. With the works, a participant declares that they are the author of these works and have the right to use them. Also, the participant declares that the photos do not infringe on anybody’s rights, especially people who are visible in them and that these people consent to the use of the photos in The Competition and allow the publication of their images. In the absence of such agreement, the participant takes responsibility for any justified claims. – Applications for The Competition must be sent by email to street@interphoto.pl, and the size of each photo should be: the longest side 60 cm / 180 dpi. – Photos must be sent no later than 6th September 2024, until 11:59 pm. – The technique of taking photos is unrestricted. – The subject of The Competition is street photography. The organizer has the right to assess submitted works and reject some without providing a reason. An author gives The Organizer of The Competition a free, unlimited license to use the submitted photos for organizing The Competition, marketing, and presenting the results, including publishing in print, websites, and at the INTERPHOTO 2024 Exhibitions. The license is given for the following purposes:

○ Fixing and multiplying works – making works using specified techniques, including printing, reprographic, magnetic recording, and digital ones.

○ Spreading a work in ways other than defined above – public exhibition, projecting, playing, broadcasting, reemitting, and also exhibiting a work in public so that everyone can access it at a place and time chosen by them. This includes the authority to The Organizer to use the works for free in order to put them online, publish in articles connected with The Competition, use during post-competition exhibitions, posters, and other materials that advertise The Competition and its future editions, and all publishers connected with The Competition.

7. The Organizer will inform the laureates about the results by email.

8. Due to the nature of The Competition (open space of Bialystok city), The Organizer does not guarantee to display all the works.

II. Final Provisions

1. The Organizer reserves the right to verify if the laureates of The Competition meet the conditions specified in this Statute as well as in legal regulations. Therefore, The Organizer can demand from a participant to make declarations, provide data, or submit documents.

2. Every competitor who takes part in The Competition agrees to the processing of personal data provided in this document for realizing the Competition according to the Personal Data Protection Act of 10 May 2018 (Journal of Laws 2018, item 1000) and in agreement with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation). The data is protected and preserved against unauthorized access. It is possible to opt out of receiving messages from us or to request the deletion of your data according to the so-called right to be forgotten by contacting us via email at kontakt@interphoto.pl.

3. Applying for the Competition and participating in it, a competitor complies with The Statute and accepts its content.

4. The Competition is not a lottery according to Polish Law (art. 2 ust. 1 pkt. 9 Ustawy o grach i zakładach wzajemnych z dnia 29.07.1992 r. Dz. U. z 2004 r., Nr 4, poz. 27, z późn. zm.)

5. It is an international competition.

6. The Statute is made in Polish and English versions.

III. Important Dates

● 22nd July 2024 – opening date to submit works

● 6th September 2024, 11:59 pm – final time to submit works

● 8th September 2024 – jury’s deliberation

● 10th September 2024 – informing chosen competitors by email

● 29th September 2024, 4 pm – the opening of the exhibition in the open space of

Bialystok city
